Hiking & Camping in Maine's Rangeley Lakes Region
The Rangeley Lakes Region offers all types of camping possibilities...from drive-up, full-facility campgrounds to remote back-country locations reached by backpacking or paddling in the summer and snowshoeing, cross-country skiing or snowmobiling in the winter.
Trail hikes in the Rangeley Lakes Region range from easy nature walks to a challenging hike to the summit of Saddleback Mountain, one of the 100 highest peaks in New England. Registered Maine Guides can be of great assistance to those unfamiliar with the local terrain. When hiking this region please remember to always be prepared for bad weather and carry a first aid kit at all times. Bring dogs only on appropriate trails.
